People know that the food which they bought will go bad at some point. Luckily, sellers print expiration date labels on food and other products to let you know. You also know that there are places where food items should or should not be stored. But, did you know that batteries function in exactly the same way?
Just like food products, these mini power cells are perishable. That means that from the moment they are made, they begin to slowly deteriorate. Do not worry though, there are ways to preserve and store the cells of mini power plants. Here's what you should do to ensure the longevity of the rechargeable lithium ion vape batteries.
The best temperature to store the rechargeable battery is about 60 degrees Fahrenheit. When they sit, they begin to lose some of their costs. This is called self-discharge and refers to the loss of battery capacity without being used.
Cooling is recommended if:
– You live in a very hot environment. Even if it is kept at 85 degrees, the battery will only lose about 1/20 of his life in one year. If stored in a 100-degree temperature, it will lose more like 1 / 4th of the year.
– You save Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) or Nickel-Metal Hydrate (NiMH) cell power. It will lose some of their capacity every day if not stored in a refrigerator or the environment at room temperature 70 degrees. If you can keep them where it was cooler than that, you probably do not have a problem.
